The news is everywhere: a new farmers’ market is coming to Tilton, New Hampshire! The new Tilton Farmers’ Market be easy to find, at the Tanger Outlet Center, 120 Laconia Road, exit 20 off I-93, Route 3. The market will be open rain or shine every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., all summer long until Sept. 27.
Behind and in front of the scenes, pulling it all together, will be Farmers’ Marketeer Joan O’Connor (of Joan’s Famous Composting Worms fame, not to mention the award-winning Tilton Winter Farmers’ Market). She’ll be hurrying around with a big smile on her face, making sure that every detail is in place for a perfect opening market. Having already selected the best vendors and carefully planned a well-balanced, high-quality market, Joan is eager to welcome shoppers this Friday. “I’m really excited to support the Lakes Region, residents, foodies and visitors by bringing together the best farmers and natural, wholesome food producers of New Hampshire,” she said.
The region’s tasty fruits and berries, vegetables and other delicious products will be on sale at the Tilton Farmers’ Market, including fresh vegetables, gourmet coffee, scrumptious baked goods, fresh-caught New Hampshire seafood, an array of local meats and cheeses, prepared food and meals, natural body care products and more.
There will also be live music each week from local musicians, an information table supporting local producers and businesses and occasional special guest vendors. Yes, opening day is only two days away! This Friday, more than 30 fine local vendors will converge at the Tanger Outlet Center, set up their canopies (in spite of the fact that the opening day forecast looks just ducky!) and bring the best of New Hampshire’s local food products (and more) to you!
We look forward to seeing you on Friday (and don’t forget to bring your friends) to welcome in this season of summer bounty!
